Organization/Cleaning
Sometimes there is just not enough time in the day, especially when we don't have systems in place to facilitate the process. Your time is valuable and we are ready to help you take some back. Let us do what we do best, design a personalized plan to solve your cleaning and organizing challenges; partner with you to implement systems that increase your productivity saving you time and money over the long haul.
A professional organizer is someone who helps people who are too busy, too overwhelmed, too tired, or too stressed to deal with both the physical and mental clutter in their lives. Many people think "professional organizer" and their mind goes straight to TV shows about hoarding. Although we do help people with all levels of clutter, our job is so much more than that. We meet people at their unique need and help them gain control of their lives where they need it. We are ready to help you regain your space back! We offer bi-weekly, monthly, quarterly, and one-and-done organizing services.
Hoarding/Collectors & Messies
Hoarding is: the persistent difficulty discarding or parting with possessions, regardless of their actual value (Anxiety and Depression Association of America).
Hoarders display the following symptoms:
• Inability to throw away items
• Severe anxiety about discarding/attempting to discard items
• Great difficulty organizing items
• Indecision about what to discard and what to keep or where to put possessions when items have occupied the hallway for many years
• Distress (the possessions are often not a pleasure for the person but cause embarrassment or anxiety)
• Protectiveness of the items; suspicion of other people touching them
• Obsessive thoughts and actions: irrational fears of running out of/needing items, checking obsessively on the items whereabouts or counting
• Functional impairments; problems experienced due to compromise of living space, home safety, health hazards, isolation, relationship and financial problems
Hoarding is a very complex disorder often triggered by a traumatic experience. Get to the root of the problem. Why worry about tripping, breathing mold, and maneuvering through an un-navigable narrow pathway of hap-hazardous piles stacked from floor to ceiling. Although you know these are fire hazards you add to the madness by lighting candles to cover the musk of mold. WHY?
